Description

rocky's matcha is thrilled to offer our signature blend of houjicha from award winning producer, Mr. Kiyoharu Tsuji. Houjicha, sometimes spelled as "hojicha" is a roasted green tea that contains less caffeine than sencha or matcha.

Our signature houjicha uses stems and leaves from Tsujiki's tencha and is slow roasted at a relatively low temperature to preserve the flavor and taste of the tea.

    A must try!

    I had to try this matcha when it was released and I was pleasantly surprised by it. Very earthy but in a great way. Definitely a great matcha for fall and winter. I wanted to pair it with some chocolate but never had any around! Really like it.

    Beyond satisfied

    At first i was not on board with trying this brand as i was used to only having hojicha from one cafe. I’m glad i made this purchase! The hojicha has a nutty, chocolately, bold flavor similar to coffee but still having a tea taste. If you like coffee but do not want the big load of caffeine and want something with a sweet bold profile, this is it!
