I purchased this one because I'm intrigued by the "notes of vanilla" on the description. I'm new to matcha so maybe my palate is not refined yet but I can't taste the vanilla note. I wouldn't say it's sweet either. This matcha has very strong salty umami, seaweed flavor, yet very smooth and not bitter at all. Easily overpowered by milk. As a latte it's a bit weird because of the saltiness. Excellent with just water.

best blend of matcha ever. I received this matcha powder for Christmas and O.M.G this is the best blend I’ve ever tried it has notes of vanilla and the taste is very sweet and creamy. I would recommend this 1000% I’ve never loved a matcha blend like this before. It’s pricey but if you have the money you should buy it! I also tried the original blend but it is not for me because how umami it tastes. If you are a sweet matcha latte girl you should get it.

Honestly I think I love this better than the Tsujiki blend. I can definitely taste the vanilla notes and it’s very smooth like buttery if that makes sense. BUT it’s not as creamy as the Tsujiki. Just buy it trust me (:

I just made a matcha latte using the Asahi and it’s chef’s kiss. No complaints at all. I think of was well worth it. I wish they would sell this in a larger size. Its creamy, vibrant and tasty. I love that it has sweetness to it from the hints of vanilla.
